For VivaTech 2026, L’Oréal turned the invisible network of its ingredients into a living 3D knowledge graph on the ORA sphere. Glowing nodes and links wrap around the sphere, making the science behind beauty graspable at a glance, and the sphere became one of the centrepieces of the stand. |
Who doesn’t know L’Oréal? The world’s number one in cosmetics, headquartered in France, the group spans skincare, make-up, hair and fragrance across dozens of brands.
Led by its CEO Nicolas Hieronimus, it is a pioneer of “Beauty Tech”, combining science, data and artificial intelligence to design and personalise its products.
L’Oréal’s stand at VivaTech 2026, in Paris, in front of an audience of tech and innovation professionals and visitors coming to discover the latest advances.
To reveal the invisible network that connects the ingredients of its products, the science behind beauty, in a way visitors could actually see and explore, rather than as a flat, abstract diagram.
A three-dimensional knowledge graph: ingredients appear as nodes and their relationships as glowing links, connecting all around the sphere. On the stand, the sphere sat alongside screens that extended the story, letting the object and the data speak to each other.

A dense network of data made graspable at a glance: what a diagram flattens, the sphere brings to life. The installation became one of the centrepieces of L’Oréal’s stand at VivaTech, and the sphere drew a crowd.
