At VivaTech 2026 in Paris, Scaleway placed an ORA sphere on its 200 m² stand to make the architecture of an artificial intelligence visible and easy to grasp. With a simple touch, visitors explored the four layers, data, infrastructure, models and applications, and saw how they fit together.
Scaleway is a French cloud provider, a subsidiary of the Iliad group, founded in 1999 by Xavier Niel (originally under the name Online). The company builds cloud infrastructure hosted in data centers located in Europe and positions itself as a European alternative to the major American players, with a strong focus on data sovereignty.
Scaleway’s stand at VivaTech 2026 in Paris, a 200 m² space. The sphere was placed at the edge of the stand to catch visitors’ eyes as soon as they arrived, in front of an audience of tech professionals, companies and developers.
To present and demystify how an artificial intelligence architecture works, showing how its different layers interact: data, infrastructure, models and applications.
The sphere offered an interactive interface organised around four layers, accessible via four buttons: Model Layer, Infra Layer, Data Layer and App Layer. Touching a layer brought up content explaining its role and how it works, and above all the link between data, infrastructure, AI models and applications.

Scaleway offers a European alternative to AWS. By making its architecture tangible and interactive, the sphere helped visitors grasp the richness of its offering, and made discovering its products more engaging.
