In the science lab of Collège Les Dînes Chiens, the ORA sphere turns the lecture into collective exploration. Up to 10 students handle a 360° image together, spin and zoom diagrams, and make hard-to-picture concepts tangible, especially in science and geography. |
Collège Les Dînes Chiens is a state secondary school in Chilly-Mazarin, in the Essonne, south-west of Paris (Versailles education authority). It teaches lower-secondary students (ages 11 to 15) and looks for teaching methods that keep learning alive and nurture curiosity.

To turn lectures into collective exploration and make abstract concepts tangible, especially in science and geography, where everything rests on being able to picture what you can’t see: the inside of a cell, the shape of a continent, how a whole system works.
A 360° image projected onto the sphere, a touch surface that up to 10 students use at once, diagrams you spin and zoom, and content aligned with the curriculum. A diagram becomes something you turn, point at, and explore together.
Attention and participation up: lessons built around the sphere hold attention the way the old format no longer could. It’s in biology and geography-history that the gap is clearest, with students more curious and more proactive. Beyond the results, it’s the return of curiosity and the pleasure of discovery that struck teachers most.
